Incorporated in 1881, Castle Rock is named after a huge, distinctive rock formation at the top of a butte on the north side of town. It has been an important railroad stop throughout its history. These days it is an affluent bedroom community for the Denver metro area and hosts the Castle Rock Factory Outlet Stores, which draws a huge amount of shoppers from Denver.

Cedaredge is north of Montrose, in an area of western beauty featuring rafting, horseback riding, hunting, fishing, dude ranches, and outdoors adventure.

Centennial option Centennial Colorado Hotels option
Centennial, on the south side of the Denver metro area, became a town in 2001, drawing in territory from unincorporated lands in Arapahoe County. Formed to protect affluent residential and commercial areas from being annexed by Greenwood Village, tax rates are low in Centennial and a lot of retail shopping exists there. Centennial also contains Centennial Airport, one of the country's busiest non-commercial-passenger airports.

Central City - Black Hawk option
Central City is a historic Victorian Architecture mining town. Entertainment includes casinos; close to Metro Denver and Loveland and Lake Eldora ski areas; plus other outdoor and summer adventure activities associated with Colorado.
