A-basin - Arapahoe Basin Ski Area

Arapahoe Basin is Colorado's highest ski area at 13,050 feet, with some monstrously difficult terrain, most notably the legendary double-diamond Pallavicini run. The area often vies to be the first to open in Colorado and stays open into June or even July.

Alamosa Alamosa Visitors Center Driving Map

Alamosa is named after the cottonwood trees along the Rio Grande River, founded in 1878 by the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad. Complete buildings were moved in on flat cars and set up for business the same day.
